Job Title: Housing First Support Workers (2)

New Walk CIC and Community Campus ’87 have embarked on a new exciting partnership alongside Hartlepool Borough Council to provide accommodation and high levels of support to rough sleepers or those at risk of rough sleeping based on the principles of Housing First.

The successful candidates will be required to provide a person centred, flexible, trauma informed support service to support clients to create long term sustainable tenancies and improve their quality of life.  Project workers will be supporting nine individuals (each) who may be addressing a range of potential of issues (e.g. substance misuse, poor mental health, history of offending, repeat homelessness and negative social networks).

We are looking for people who, not only have the relevant skills and experience but also have the passion and commitment to make a truly positive impact on the people we will house and support.

  • The post is funded until March 2025.
  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary: £22000-£23000.
  • Location will be Hartlepool.
  • Employment will be subject to a DBS check and satisfactory references.

Job Title: Painter and Decorator (Driver)

Community Campus ’87 Ltd is a leading social enterprise, (recently awarded Investors in People, ‘we invest in people standard’) working to reduce homelessness and create opportunities for service users across the Tees Valley.

  • The post holder will undertake general Painting and Decorating on all Community Campus properties, ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard at all times, to ensure void properties are available for occupancy as soon as possible, including furniture removal, clearing and cleaning properties etc.
  • The post holder will also be required to drive a company vehicle transporting staff members and equipment/materials to different locations.
  • To provide excellent customer service by dealing with all customers appropriately and effectively.
  • Ensure that the requirements of current legislation and CC’87 Ltd policies are met at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation and all sites are equipped with the necessary requirements as identified in company policies and procedures with any breaches or observations being recorded and reported on appropriate paperwork to line management as per company policy.
  • You will be required to assist the apprentices with their onsite training development optimising the maximum learning opportunities whilst maintaining quality standards and contribute to the completion of apprentice paperwork.
  • To attend and actively participate in meetings and any training and development activities as and when required.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in line with policy and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of commercial work.
  • Be responsible for keys, materials and equipment.
  • Any other duties as from time to time may be allocated to the post holder consistent with the responsibilities of the post.
  • Painting and decorating is an essential trade skill required for this post.
  • Clean driving licence is essential.
