We arranged for her to speak to young people who have previously been homeless and to talk about their experiences, reason for homelessness, how this made them feel and where they

BSHF StudyCommunity Campus’ work has been highlighted in a national case study from the British and Social Housing Foundation – Community-led housing and young people: solutions to youth homelessness.

LandAidEvery day of every year, thousands of young people in the UK face homelessness. Many are forced to sleep in cheap B&Bs, or worse still, on the streets. Locality ConferenceThe conference focused on community assets – the people, places and spaces which make neighbourhoods thrive. The programme was packed with expert-led workshops, inspiring visits, top level speakers and outstanding master classes. The event opened with a key note speech from John McDonnell and ended with a question and answer session with Michael Heseltine and Hazel

Locality visit to LeicesterAction Homeless Leicester; held many similarities to Community Campus, refurbishing empty properties, though on a lease model rather than purchase due to higher property prices in Leicester, and provide support and a range of engagement activities with their service users. Action Homeless face similar challenges to CC87 – increasing demand for services, the detrimental impact

Princes Trust Volunteers transform Middlesbrough propertyThe Princes Trust alongside Stockton Riverside College were tasked with improving a community based project for their ‘team challenge’. They approached CC87 to offer their skills and complete their challenge. The young people from the Princes Trust visited one of our older properties and agreed it needed some TLC.
