Carrie Anne is doing extremely well. Over the last year she has been gaining skills and becoming independent and gaining more and more confidence in being able to handle her tenancy, benefits, food shopping, paying bills and other things in her life by herself. She has worked hard to be able to keep her baby daughter Lucy in her life and has become fully drug free. Carrie has gained new friends and a social circle, that are a good support network for her. Weekly she attends weekly mother and baby groups, goes on walks and enjoys cooking for her and Lucy.
“Two years ago I was on a downhill spiral, homeless and using drugs. I moved in here and life changed for me, and it just keeps getting better and better. I never thought I would get to this stage, even when pregnant I had my doubts. I didn’t think people would accept me because of my past. With support I have been able to succeed, I’ve gained more confidence and I take responsibility for my actions. I’m thriving and love how different my life is now with my daughter Lucy.”
