The organisation was happy to receive a visit on the 29th of October from Rob Wilson MP the Minister for Civil Society whose brief includes charities and social enterprises. He was in the area to address a voluntary sector conference and took time out to see a couple of exemplar projects in the area. He spent time talking to three apprentices who had benefitted from employment and training via the Empty Homes Programme that we delivered and spoke with the senior staff about the challenges and opportunities facing the social enterprise sector moving forward.
