Mission Statement

1. To reduce homelessness

  • By providing affordable accommodation in the community
  • By providing quality support and resettlement services for homeless people
  • By creating and providing opportunities for homeless people, particularly young people, to develop the skills and experience to enable them to access, manage and maintain permanent accommodation

2. To promote inclusivity and empower people

  • By providing advice, assistance and signposting for vulnerable people to relevant agencies, services and others who can and should help people to resolve issues and challenges that they face
  • By advocating and providing a representative voice for the people
  • By encouraging and supporting people to actively participate in Community Campus '87 and the wider community

3. To enable people to fulfil their potential

  • By providing access to person centred development opportunities to support and challenge people to build confidence, raise self esteem, gain experience and knowledge
  • By providing vocational training and learning opportunities in a supportive and real working environment
  • By providing and creating employment and volunteering opportunities
  • By working in partnership with other providers enabling people to access formal training and learning opportunities
  • By supporting employees and volunteers in their own personal development

4. To work towards a more fair and equitable society

  • By promoting the development of social and community enterprise as a viable and sustained business model
  • By campaigning, lobbying and influencing at various levels to promote the inclusion if the homeless and other socially and economically excluded people in society

5. To be sustainable, enterprising and innovative

  • By running the organisation in a professional well managed and ethical manner
  • By delivering projects and activities of a high quality to meet clients and other key stakeholders needs and expectations – quality, price and time
  • By creating and taking opportunities to develop enterprising activity to maximise sources of income
  • By raising financial resources through appropriate fundraising activities
  • By being a good employer

6. To support and improve the communities we are involved in

  • By improving and maintaining the buildings that we acquire and own
  • By contributing to the positive physical development of the areas
  • By encouraging and enabling the people we work with to be a positive part of their community
  • By taking an active and responsible role in supporting the ongoing development of sustainable communities we work in

7. To be responsible in our role to protect and minimise negative impact on the environment for present and future generations
