Renovation of property in Hartlepool

Community Campus have recently renovated a long standing empty property in Hartlepool as part of a major regeneration scheme, a programme of work by Housing Hartlepool that will eventually see almost 100 properties being brought back into use.

The former laundrette in York Road has been converted into 4 flats by our construction staff including, Stuart Rodgers, Jason Clark, Anthony Cusworth, Paul Randall, Andrew Jamieson, Peter Jamieson, Alice Trotter, Neil Robson and Andrew Harrison.  Works included restoring gas and electricity services, re-wire, installation of a new central heating system and bathrooms and kitchens.

Councillor Robbie Payne, Chair of Hartlepool Council’s Regeneration Services Committee said “In respect of the property in York Road, the quality of the refurbishment work carried out is absolutely superb and I would like to congratulate the team on their efforts”.

Nigel Budd, Partnerships Manager at Housing Hartlepool (part of the Thirteen Group) said “We are delighted to be playing a leading role, along with the Council, in tackling the problem of empty homes across Hartlepool and it is good to see that our collective efforts are paying off.  The transformation of this particular property has been amazing and it’s all down to the hard work and skills of the Community Campus team”.

Community Campus is very proud to be associated with such a worthwhile project and is currently continuing it’s refurbishment of empty properties in Hartlepool.
